Week 2 and I'm still not allowed out!

Wow it's been 2 weeks since I adopted Jim and he's very much at home, addicted to Dreamies and only escaped once!
Last Wednesday was a scary but proud evening Jim escaped out of the front door, explored all the front gardens followed by 2 mad women shaking boxes of Dreamies. Jim came home in his own time after exploring all the gardens!

From the sweetest cat to Dreamies thief

I've now got lots of very sweet Jim photos but now have the Jim the Dreamies thief photo too! This morning he woke me up and demanded dreamies and I've just found the empty packet on the sofa!

The Back Garden

Jim's now had a second adventure in a harness and been out in the back garden - still not too sure about grass!

Friday and the big adventure

We've been practicing using a harness for 3 days now and today Jim took his first few tentative steps outside! Jim is fairly indifferent about the harness but is mad about the Dreamies that he gets when he puts it on, while he's wearing it and when it gets taken off!!!!

Jim has also enjoyed fishing again

Some favourite spots

Jim has now started to establish his favourite spots

On the window sill but only when the radiator is on!

Incognito on the black cushion on the black chair

By the french windows in the sunshine

On the back of the chair for playing on the iPad

Safe behind the curtain if someone knocks on the door!

Dreamies..............

Jim has discovered Dreamies - well that's not actually quite true -  I bought him some to see if he liked them and the answer is a big YES!

Jim went upstairs and onto my bed for Dreamies!

Jim happily put his new cat harness on for Dreamies!

Jim's second day - Village Hall Coffee morning

Jim is still exploring downstairs at the moment and has managed 3 steps up the stairs.
He's had a busy morning meeting everyone at the Village Hall zoom coffee morning and is now sitting watching the birds through the kitchen window.

Jim settling in

Well Jim's been very busy settling in to his new home.
He yowled all the way home but once released from his cage he's rushed round the house madly for a while and then settled down on the couch on my knee!

Jim's first day in his new home

I collect Jim at 2:30 pm the house is ready including a lovely welcome home poster from Isaac and Willow.

Jim is being adopted

Jim has been living at Hillfield Animal Home RSPCA Burton but he come home today. I've only met him online so far and am so excited to meet him.

This is his history

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Black
Sex: Male
Age: 9 years 2 months.
Time with us: 10 weeks.
*Reserved* Jim is a sweet shy boy who would love to find a quiet forever home where he can settle in and truly relax.
With a little time and patience, Jim will make a wonderful companion. He is a timid cat who loves fuss when he gets to know you.
Once he learns to trusts you, he is very affection and loves your company. Jim will happily sit on your lap being stroked all day long!
He has happily lived with other cats before so could possibly be rehomed with another chilled out cat, but it is worth mentioning that since he was split up from his two brothers (who he wasn’t bonded with) his nature almost completely changed for the better and he became more confident and affectionate.
Jim might be ok being rehomed in a household with quiet older children who wouldn’t expect him to be cuddly or playful.
Jim would be ideal for someone who wouldn’t expect too much too soon, but would like to give a second chance to a sweet, quiet and very affectionate boy.'
